16.12.08 - David Icke Australia Talk In Melbourne Tickets Now Available
Icke is one of the worlds most controversial speakers of our time and this is a must see event. Flynn & I have personally seen him speak while we were in Weed Cal U.S.A making the "Sharing Space" recored. He was exceptional with his presentation of the most important information people will ever get to hear, a very inspiring maverick indeed. I've read all his books and can say this man is helping to lift the vail on the lies that blanket our consciousness and expose the N.W.O global fascist government that is now on our doorstep!
Our song Problem, Reaction, Solution a phrase that Icke coined was in part inspired by his awesome work. This will sell out so get in quick!

28.11.08 - Save The Net!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Federal Government is planning to force all Australian servers to filter internet traffic and block any material the Government deems 'inappropriate'. Under the plan, the Government can add any 'unwanted' site to a secret blacklist.
Testing has already begun on systems that will slow our internet by up to 87%, make it more expensive, miss the vast majority of inappropriate content and accidentally block up to 1 in 12 legitimate sites. Our children deserve better protection - and that won't be achieved by wasting millions on this deeply flawed system.
The internet is so bloody slow and expensive in OZ as it is.

Now in 2008 Cog have the opportunity to re-release the recordings in their original album format with the intended track listing and with the never previously heard original (long) version of Bondi. Additionally Lucius spent time at Studios 301 tweaking the audio master so as to present the recordings in their best possible light.
Just Visiting â" the album will be available on Itunes from October 4th and is now available from all good record stores.

30.04.08 - One Night Stand - largest crowd yet in Collie!
Collie, a town (pop. 9000) two hours south-west of Perth, won the opportunity to host the event after garnering the support of the local council and petitioning local business and the local community.
triplejunearthed.com winners THIS END UP sure know how to kick off a show. The Collie band are still in school but you wouldn't know it after seeing their polished rock performance. These guys are ones to watch: www.triplejunearthed.com/thisendup.
There were plenty of near heart-attacks as the 15,000-strong crowd went crazy for FAKER. The band pulled out all their instant indie-rock classics and the crowd hung on to every word. PNAU turned it up and Collie got raving, along with a moonwalking wild strawberry, a dancing sun and a hundred giant balloons that were released into the crowd. The excitement continued with headliners COG, still on a high with news of the no. 2 debut of their latest release Sharing Spaces.
The drug and alcohol free event was incident free and the town kicked on to a special One Night Stand street party, hosted by the Collie council.
If you weren't lucky enough to witness the action, or hear it live on air right around the nation, you can see it in the coming weeks on triple j tv who caught the whole thing on film or hear it repeated on the following Live At The Wireless dates:
5 May - Faker
12 May - Pnau
19 May - Cog

12.04.08 - Sharing Space released today
Our new Sharing Space website is now online - just in time for the release of Sharing Space.
From what we're told so many of you have already gone online and pre-ordered the album - that's unreal, thank you. And we hope that the rest of you will hot foot it down to your favourite record store or get online with iTunes and Bigpond next week to be amongst the first to have the album.

27.02.08 - Sharing Space album tour announced
Sharing Space the album will be released on April 12 and to conicide with the album release we will be touring extensively. We have just announced the dates and line up of the album tour.
Here's what our PR people wrote in the press release for the tour:
With their much anticipated sophomore album, Sharing Space due for release on April 12, Triple J, JJJTVC, Aloha & The Atlas Agency are pleased to announce COGâs Sharing Space Tour for this coming May and June. Spanning some six weeks, the tour will feature two of New Zealandâs finest live rock bands, Kora and Jakob as well as local Melbourne prog-rockers Sleep Parade and Brisbaneâs Melodyssey and will be COGâs biggest tour to date.
Described as an orchestra of guitar chords, beckoning drums and resonant bass tones, COGâs live shows are renowned for their implacably monstrous sound where the synchronicity between the three members is somewhat of a spectacle.
âTo expect anything less than sheer brilliance, honesty and truthfulness to leave the speakers and enter your ears at a show is quite a high expectation to have, but in a balance that can only be described as eerie, Cog delivered well above any past performance and took their now influential sound to a whole new level.â Drum Media
COGâs army of fans is growing, and their upcoming album tour is none not to be missed.
With the first two singles from Sharing Space - What If and Bird of Feather, sitting on high rotation on Triple J and community stations around the country, and the success of their 2005 critically acclaimed debut album The New Normal, COGâs Sharing Space is set to be one of the most anticipated Australian releases of 2008.
COGâs Sharing Space Tour kicks of off on May 15 and tickets are on sale from Thursday March 6.
Their new album, Sharing Space is out on Saturday April 12 on Difrnt Music.

13.02.08 - Bird Of Feather single
Our lovely PR people have written this press release about it:
Bird Of Feather is the second single off Cogâs forthcoming album Sharing Space, due in store April 12th 2008. A heart breaking song of being far away for a long period of time from the ones you love, torn between art and love, career and family and all the while trying to make a situation better and find a way to pay the bills.
âThatâs the heart of the song there â" that conundrum, that question that faces all of us. On one hand you need to pay the bills, on the other you need to nurture the relationships with people. Everyone is having to work harder, longer and smarter and in most cases both parents, just to get by. Itâs a consequence of the global predicament that everyone
sees less of each other,â explains song writer and front man Flynn Gower.
Tales of cracked conversations over long distance lines and tearful telephone calls where words get lost in two second delays, Gowers anguish is palpable. But for all of Bird Of Featherâs raw pain and ragged emotion, when the chorus comes, it comes like a rock thrown through a stain glass window. Spilling light glorious. Such is the power of Cogâs music.

21.09.07 - New My Space address
In other news, unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the scheduled What If show in Rockhampton in November has been cancelled. We are trying to find an appropriate alternative venue so we can see everyeonel there at the Tropic of Capricorn but we have not got that sorted yet. We will let you know what is happening as soon as we can.

02.09.07 - From the Cog camp
We are working on a new Cog site at the moment, but for now we'll have a temporary home page while the new site is under construction. So this is it! We hope to launch the new site in the coming months in time for the release of Sharing Space... so stay tuned!
Part of the temporary site is our new ticketing page where you can buy tickets to most of our shows and get access to exclusive pre sale ticket offers. Such as the offer we're launching on Monday September 3 for our new tour coming this November and December.
Itâs the What If tour, proudly presented by our friends at My Space and it will coincide with the release of our brand new single What If from our forthcoming album Sharing Space. This tour will run for five weeks and we'll be playing up and down the east coast of Australia with a quick stop in Adelaide as well. But for people up north, this will be the first time Cog will be making it to the northern reaches of Queensland to play. So we can't wait to meet all of you from up those parts at the shows.
You can read about the tour in the press release below however take note â" weâre offering you an exclusive deal to get tickets* for a reduced price for one week only from Monday September 3 at 9am until Friday September 7 at 5pm right here on our ticketing page. So check it out.
But back to us in Weed - we are now over half way through the new album Sharing Space and it's coming along nicely. The plan is to have it out by the end of Summer in early 2008, but the What If single will be available in November. We'll preview the track here in the coming weeks and then it will be up to you guys to bombard the radio stations if you want to hear it.
More news coming soon, in the meantime don't forget to check out about the What If tour and the internet pre sale next week - for one week only you will get discounted tickets available exclusively from www.cog.com.au (and www.theatlasagency.com).
All the best,
Lucius Luke Flynn and all in the Cog camp.
*PS - Internet pre sale offer does not include Newcastle show, sorry.
02.09.07 - New Single - What If
In store Oct 27th 2007 through Dfrnt Music and Universal Music Australia
"What if in the future people just decided no more leaders fighting to control us...
freedom... what if...
I know you want it well, we've come to start it with you"
Make what you will of the woody surrounds of a small logging town called Weed, in Northern California, USA. Since January, Cog have been calling this place home. It's a far cry from the white sandy beaches of Bondi, but the boys have gotten comfortable, put their heads down, and focused on the creation of their second studio odyssey, due out January 2008. Sharing Space is the follow up to their hugely successful debut album, The New Normal (2005), which debuted at #19 on the ARIA Charts, #1 on the AIR charts and received a J Award nomination for Australian Album of the Year.
What If, is their first offering.
Featuring the powered vocals of front man Flynn Gower, and held together by the rhythmic bass tones of Luke Gower and the trademark thump from drummer Lucuis Borich, What If is a more complex and more rounded sounding Cog. Lyrically political and thought provoking, their edge sharpens with age.
Joined once again by Producer Silvia Massy Shivy (New Normal (Cog), SOAD, TOOL, Spiderbait) and mixer Rich Veltrop in Radio Star Studios Weed, CA, production for the record will wrap in October, just in time for the band to return home for their national What If Tour, starting in VIC on November 8th.
It's been a long year for Cog fans, with the band limiting local shows to focus on the new album from their USA base. A drought that will soon be broken by a year of heavy local presence and a brand spanking new record. They will be joined by Brisbane's alternative rockers, Dead Letter Circus.
Discounted internet presale tickets will be available from www.cog.com.au and and www.theatlasagency.com from 9am Monday September 3rd to 5pm Friday September 7th.
Cog are pleased to announce two shows so far in the UK in July with the mighty
